The mission for The Center for the Arts, Inc. is to enhance the quality of life in our community by providing cultural and economic enrichment through the arts. The Center for the Arts (CFTA) will advance art awareness through quality theatrical productions, musical performances, art exhibits, educational programs, life-long learning, and community activities, thus improving overall quality of life in Middle Tennessee.

The Center Stage Academy (CSA) youth arts education program advances the organization’s mission by providing youth programs that results in an appreciation for theatre, art, and the skills they acquire are essential in learning different elements of social/emotional communication and development through different areas of art/theatre. Some of the children will become audiences of the future while others will pursue careers in performing or visual arts. Many of these children have no access to these experiences outside of their involvement with CFTA’s CSA program.

At the end of this class, the students perform a full-length Junior or KIDS musical for audiences. CSA offers basic and advanced acting classes, costume, and makeup, show choir, choreography, one-acts and has expanded to include a painting/art class to K-12 students.
