Rachel Rodriguez is a bilingual teaching artist, singer-songwriter, and founder of Songs for My Little Amigos, a music and movement program that promotes language learning, literacy, cultural connection, and social-emotional development through the arts. Drawing from her Mexican-American heritage and lifelong performance background, she creates engaging educational experiences that integrate music, dance, storytelling, and Spanish language learning. Rachel conducts bilingual school presentations, residencies, educator workshops, and community programs throughout Tennessee and beyond. Passionate about arts accessibility and cultural representation, she strives to inspire creativity, foster community, and create joyful learning experiences for children, families, educators, and diverse audiences.

Program Title: My Voice is My Instrument – Bilingual Song & Storytime
Program Type: Arts & Culture Appreciation, Arts Integration
Program Description: Children will learn about the vibrant Mexican culture through stories, music and movement. They will also discover the power of their own voice. I will share traditional Mexican Folk music along with original songs. This presentation is bilingual and extremely interactive. Children will listen to a story, sing, dance, AND learn Spanish!
Program Title: Songs for My Little Amigos – A Bilingual Music & Movement Experience
Program Type: Arts Appreciation
Program Description: Songs for My Little Amigos – A Bilingual Music & Movement Experience, is an interactive program that exposes students to Latino culture, promotes language learning, and encourages culture appreciation. Students will participate in group dancing, singing, learning rhythmic patterns, and call and answer songs. This program gives students an opportunity to engage in an interactive arts and cultural experience.
Program Title: I’m Special! / Soy Especial!
Program Type: Arts Curriculum, Arts Integration, SEL
Program Description: Using the music elements of form and songwriting, we will describe and celebrate the things that make us unique and special. We will collect, and organize our ideas, collaborate with our classmates and experience co-writing. We will also express our ideas through movement and learn Spanish.
