Rachel Rodriguez is a singer, songwriter, mother, and teaching artist. She grew up belting traditional Mariachi and Country music. Her father was her biggest influence and always encouraged her to embrace and infuse all that she is into her music. She created Songs for My Little Amigos; a Bilingual Music and Movement program dedicated to promoting language learning, building community, and celebrating culture. She provides services for educators and organizations seeking culturally diverse enrichment programs. Her mission is to create arts-filled, educational programs that build community. She conducts school presentations, residencies, educator workshops, and storytimes throughout the community.

Using the music elements of form and songwrting, we will describe and celebrate the things that make us unique and special. We will collect, and organize our ideas, collaborate with our classmates and experience co-writing. We will also express our ideas through movement, and learn Spanish.

Program Description:
Songs for My Little Amigos: A Bilingual Music & Movement Experience, is an interactive program that exposes students to Latino culture, promotes language learning, celebrates diversity, and encourages culture appreciation. Students will participate in group dancing, singing, learn rhythmic patterns, and call and answer songs. This program gives students an opportunity to engage in an interactive arts and cultural experience.
