POP ART EXPERIENCE for all ages and levels. This program is designed to explore the Pop Art Movement and the Artists that gifted us with this genre. This is a fun walk-in art experience for museums, schools, and community centers. Discovery Center in Murfreesboro took advantage of this art experience and it was a success with family members of all ages and skill levels in May 2016.
We explored artists like Jasper Johns and Andy Warhol. Project ideas and supplies were made available in a buffet like manner to create works that spurred creativity and fun. Supplies included bristol board, pre-cut cardboard “tin cans”, pre-cut numbers and washable tempera paints along with sample projects to inspire their own pop art designs.
