About

Andy Kruspe is an Irish bodhrán (traditional frame drum) educator. He regularly travels domestically and internationally to teach this instrument to a wide range of audiences. His past work includes residencies with elementary school music programs, professional development sessions with school faculties, guest artist clinics at colleges and universities, and featured clinician/instructor positions at folk schools and workshops.

In addition to his work as an educator, Andy also regularly performs with numerous artists throughout the southeastern United States. His performances have included festival appearances, featured artist performances, and entertainment for community events.

I offer teaching artist residencies for elementary, middle, high school, and college music classes that provide students and teachers with hands-on experiences with Irish traditional (World) music. I provide instructional materials and instruments for up to 35 participants.
