Leticia Pizzino is an animated, enthusiastic storyteller and musician. She’s been a teaching artist since 1999. She brings stories to life in schools, libraries, conferences, adult day programs, and even juvenile detention centers. Leticia holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Pedagogy and maintains a private voice studio.
With warmth and creativity, she helps students of all ages find and share their voices through personal, historical, and traditional tales. Her customized residencies and workshops integrate music, movement, and storytelling to build confidence, imagination, communication skills, and human connection.

Program Description:

Stories from the Appalachian Frontier is a dynamic storytelling residency where students research and embody historical or fictional characters from the Revolutionary War era, with emphasis in the Appalachian region. Using oral storytelling skills, theatre techniques, and storytelling structure, participants develop and perform original first-person narratives. This immersive experience deepens historical understanding, fosters creativity, and builds skills in communication, empathy, and performance.
