In 1911, a significant parcel of land was gifted to the City of Chattanooga. Montague Park was to be developed into a place for people to convene and take in the beauty of the land. In April, 2016, over one hundred years later this vision is recognized through the creation of Sculpture Fields. Sculpture Fields is a non-profit organization partnering with the City of Chattanooga, to develop a 33-acre international sculpture park. Sculpture Fields currently has 28 large-scale contemporary sculptures from world renowned artist on exhibition with more 4 pieces being installed in 2016. The sculpture park provides an educational resource to school children, college students and adults alike.  Educational activities have been included in the planning of the park, utilizing informational plaques, brochures and curriculum-enhancing information for teachers at the K- through 12 and university levels. Sculpture Fields education programs are designed to engage visitors with the monumental sculpture and foster creativity. Guided tours deliver a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) experience using our learning model. These lessons can be customized based on the educational needs, ages and interests of the students and teachers. A self-guided tour is also available through Otocast which is a free audio guide available on mobile devices. The park is open daily from dawn to dusk at no charge. Ample parking is available. Three weeks’ advanced notice is required for a tour.

Student Ticket Subsidy funds can be used to pay for bus transportation fees to visit the Sculpture Fields!
