Program Title: Young Voices

Program Type: Arts Curriculum

Program Description:

Young Voices is a program that centers on young people exploring the texts of a particular playwright
and then interpreting their chosen text via the exploration of how that text speaks to their experiences.
Social and emotional growth along with self-awareness and an appreciation of the power of theatre to
make connections and bring people together are some of the focus of this program. Theatre Arts teachers and teaching artists in the program work together to help students select their monologues,
create interpretations and hone their performances.

Program Title: Classroom Visits

Program Type: Arts Curriculum, Arts Appreciation

Program Description:

We offer classroom visits by theatre professionals for pre- or post- show discussions with students about
our mainstage productions (as well as free or discounted tickets to students and teachers.) Study guides
and other supplementary materials for each show are available to teachers.

Program Title: Careers in Theatre

Program Type: Arts Curriculum

Program Description:

Careers in Theatre is a career awareness program that comprises 22 video interviews with local
Nashville theatre professionals. Teachers and students choose videos to watch as a pre-activity; students then formulate questions to ask the professionals about their careers. An in-person or ZOOM
panel is then arranged and students can speak to and question the theatre professionals and gain insight
into these careers and the theatre as a whole.
