About

Michael taught elementary school for 14 years before working as an instructional supervisor. He earned his doctoral degree before retiring with 30 years of service for the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System. Mike speaks at schools and conferences across America and Europe each year spreading the message that Reading IS Magic! His age-appropriate programs include the entire writing process: Ideas, Prewriting, Rough Drafts, Revisions, Working with an Editor, and Publishing. Since he also includes magic, rap, and secrets found in his books, Mike labels his program as Edutainment.
