Lucy Branam lives and writes in Jacksboro, Tennessee. In addition to writing, she peruses books, dabbles in graphic design, and occasionally goes for a wander (either on her feet or in her mind). “Little Ghost House Hunts” is her newest picture book. Little Ghost has two older book-siblings: “Roof Octopus” and “Monday”.
Lucy typically writes and creates locked away in her home, so it’s nice for her to get out once in a while and share her books with kids. She hopes to inspire them to become storytellers themselves.

Program Type: Arts Appreciation
Program Description:
When I present to students, I show some of my own writing from when I was in school. I then give an overview of how I wrote my books, sharing some early drafts. I talk some about what it’s like to be a published author. I then read at least one of my books. I then take questions from students. If requested, I can do a brainstorming activity with students in a classroom setting.
