Deborah Walker has a Bachelors in Arts from the University of Memphis with a minor in Theater. Also, Ms. Walker received a Masters in Education, and an Ed.S in Leadership. She is currently an English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher at Chimneyrock Elementary, and Dance Coach. In 2011, Ms. Walker obtained a Certification in Dance and created Dine’ (Dinay) Dancers.

Program Overview

Ms. Walker and her dancers are in high demand in the month of February with their original history programs called From Africa to America, Hip-Hop in Motion and The Civil Rights Movement.

Through artist residencies, students can learn more in-depth about the Water-Cycle, Chemical and Physical Change, Earth, and the Food Chain. Also, with the integration of dance and math, lessons include shapes, patterns, fractions, money, time and much more.
