Artist Work Samples

Sample Programs Offered

Program Title: Writing an Artist Statement

Program Type: Arts Integration

Program Description:

At CAM, we integrate art into non-art curriculums to learn lessons from real life — including social issues, media related topics and therapy. A potential program would be creating a business idea and allowing the students to create/develop the visual arts marketing materials for it (logo, concept, etc.). A deliverable could also be an artist statement.

Program Title: Writing a Successful CV

Program Type: Arts Integration

Program Description:

CAM can design in-school programming that will provide high school students the opportunity to meet/learn from local artists, art dealers, gallery owners, curators and museum directors. This is an opportunity to teach students in hopes of growing their understanding of the visual arts/specific genres, the Memphis arts ecosystem and the various arts jobs available if they seek to become professionals in the arts. Other related topics may be art history courses or arts college readiness/CV prep.
