Classic Productions for Students is a non-profit corporation that provides live theater experiences for primary and secondary school students. For 33 years Classic Productions has been bringing curriculum-based literature to life on stage and helping teachers create reading programs that rock.

Program Title: PETE THE CAT

Program Type: Arts Appreciation

Program Description:

Pete the Cat comes to life on stage in this new story based on the beloved book character by James Dean. When Pete gets caught rocking out after bedtime, the cat-catcher sends him to live with the Biddle family to learn his manners –– and boy are they square! But for the groovy blue cat, life is an adventure no matter where you wind up, so the minute Pete walks in the door, he gets the whole family rocking. The whole family, that is, except for young Jimmy Biddle, the most organized second grader on planet earth.

Program Title: ROSIE REVERE, ENGINEER & FRIENDS

Program Description:

It’s full STEAM ahead in this fun new musical based on the NYT bestsellers by Andrea Beaty, which spotlight science, technology, engineering and math.

In the play storyline, Ms. Greer’s classroom includes three inquisitive out-of-the-box thinkers. Rosie Revere has big dreams of becoming the next great engineer. Iggy Peck has a relentless passion for architecture. And Ada Twist’s curiosity can drive her teacher crazy. Your students will experience STEM-thinking in a toe-tapping environment of music and dance. Program Title: CHARLOTTE'S WEB

Program Type: Arts Appreciation

Program Description:

The musical, Charlotte’s Web, is based on E.B. White’s loving story of the friendship between a pig named Wilbur and a little gray spider named Charlotte. Wilbur has a problem: how to avoid winding up as pork chops! Charlotte, a fine writer and true friend, hits on a plan to fool Farmer Zuckerman. She will create a “miracle.” Spinning the words “Some Pig” in her web, Charlotte weaves a solution that not only makes Wilbur a prize pig but also ensures his place on the farm forever.
