About
The Clarence Brown Theatre (CBT) is a professional theatre in residence at the University of Tennessee. The CBT upholds a dual mission to train the next generation of artists as well as produce professional, high caliber productions, thus current UT students work alongside resident company members and visiting guest artists. Alumni of the program have gone on to work at other regional theatres across the country as well as Broadway and often come back to continue to work with current students. Offering a wide variety of shows from classics, holiday favorites, to contemporary and new works, the CBT has three stages, the Clarence Brown Theatre, the new Jenny Boyd Theatre, and the Lab Theatre.
Program Overview
The Clarence Brown Theatre offers several dedicated Season for Youth Student Matinees throughout our season in addition to offering school tours, workshops, and talkbacks/panel discussions with industry professionals about careers in theatre.
