The Chattanooga Boys Choir is a diverse group of over 120 boys aged 8 through senior in high school from more than forty public, private, home, and parochial schools. The choir believes that the lives of all people are enriched and strengthened by a love of music. Beyond its deep commitment to quality music education, the CBC experience builds a boy’s character as well as his talent. All of its programs reflect an instructional approach designed to nurture self-esteem, leadership, independence, discipline, and responsibility, as well as a life-long love of music.

Program Description:
The Chattanooga Boys Choir presents its seventh annual ‘Only Men Aloud’ workshop for area changed-voice male singers to come together for a day of learning repertoire and technique from CBC staff, the choir’s resident ensemble of changed-voice singers, and notable guest clinicians. Attendees will work with renowned conductor Peter Steenblik from the University of West Florida. Participants are drawn from local choirs in grades 8-12 who learn several pieces in one day under expert instruction and with the camaraderie of other singers from across the region.

Program Type: Arts Appreciation
Program Description:
The Chattanooga Boys Choir is thrilled to welcome CBC alum and award winning vocalist Scott Coulter, joining more than 120 members of the Chattanooga Boys Choir’s five component choirs, as well as guest artists from Ballet Tennessee (Anna van Cura, director), and the Metropolitan Bells handbell ensemble (Gary Bynum, director). In all, the stage will be graced with over 200 performers providing a splendid display of holiday music and dance for all ages to enjoy.
The theme of this year’s Singing Christmas Tree is “Christmas on Broadway,” featuring pieces from Broadway productions including “Miracle on 34th Street,” “Babes in Toyland,” “Sound of Music,” “Charlie Brown Christmas,” and many more.
Other pieces performed by the choir will feature a number of traditional carols, holiday music from around the world, and several holiday favorites. Included on the program will be “Al Shlosha D’Varim” (“The world is sustained by three things: by truth, by justice, and by peace.” ), “Riu, Riu, Chiu”, a traditional Catalonian carol, the ever popular “White Christmas,” and several other selections that will be the perfect start to everyone’s holiday season.
