Kathlyn’s debut book Ain’t Gonna Let Nobody Turn Me ‘Round was inspired by her many oral historical presentations and workshops entitled How Dr. King’s Day Came to Be.
Kathlyn focuses on writing for children and working with under-privileged 3rd through sixth-grade students in the Nashville area. She has developed several innovative workshops that use trade books to help young people learn about the world beyond their immediate surroundings by integrating art with nonfiction books to inspire students with a love of reading.
