About

Jennie Harriman wants students to have fun and feel less stressed while learning. Her approach nurtures individuality, builds confidence, encourages calmness, and cultivates community. She focuses on respecting the learner, joyful making, and the creative process. Jennie loves collaborating with others and integrating SEL, ELA, and STEM with visual arts!

With over 30 years experience as an educator, she has witnessed the way creativity can transform how people feel, learn, and grow. Jennie holds an MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts and an MA in Education, but it’s exploring, making, and teaching that shape her work as an artist and writer.

Program Overview

Teaching artist residencies focused on arts integration Digital Storymaking combining SEL, ELA, and Media Arts. Adaptable for different grade levels, in person local to East TN and virtual options statewide.
