The Chattanooga Boys Choir includes over 100 choristers from grades 3-12 from more than thirty public, private, home, and parochial schools. The choir believes that the lives of all people are enriched and strengthened by a love of music. Beyond its deep commitment to quality music education, the CBC experience builds a chorister’s character and talent. All CBC programs – including public performances, teacher workshops, and community residencies – reflect an instructional approach designed to nurture self-esteem, leadership, independence, discipline, and responsibility, as well as a life-long love of music.

Program Title: Tenor-Bass Festival

Program Type: Arts Curriculum, Arts Appreciation

Program Description:

The Chattanooga Boys Choir sponsors an annual choral festival for tenor and bass singers in grades 7 – college for a fun and free day of workshops, rehearsals, and performances with a guest choir and esteemed clinician. The 2023 iteration of this festival includes the University of Tennessee Men’s Choir and their conductor, Dr. Andrew Skoog.

Program Title: Performance Tours

Program Description:

The Chattanooga Boys Choir typically embarks on annual performance tours, including appearances in schools and community centers with a variety of diverse programming of choral music representing various time periods, cultures, languages, and styles. Tours can often include performances in schools or communities for a 40-60 minute presentation.

Program Description:

The Chattanooga Boys Choir often offers student-specific performances of its annual winter and spring concerts. These performances – including the involvement of several collaborative musicians and artistic partners form a variety of disciplines – include an activity and curriculum guide complete with current state and national arts standards.
