Fine arts should inspire (making one a better person), children learn by doing and thinking outside the box are three elements that motivate R. Friend’s performances and books. As an author, professional storyteller, musician/songwriter, Ronda has visited over 2,000 schools. Friend’s chapter books are examples of drawing from life experiences. Her dual reader picture books (poetry/prose) teach children there’s more than one way to write. She entertains, challenges, and inspires children to use their gifts and talents to become artists. Friend’s family nights include students singing two songs on stage then faculty/family members perform alongside their children.
