The Clarence Brown Theatre’s mission equally focuses on enriching the culture of Knoxville and training the next generation of great artists. Located on the University of Tennessee flagship campus, the Clarence Brown Theatre is one of 80 LORT (League of Resident Theatres) professional theatres in the United States, and the ONLY one located in Tennessee. The CBT believes the best way to train future artists is by immersing them in a professional environment. As such the CBT offers some of the finest professional theatre in the country while simultaneously training graduate and undergraduate students with professionals from around the world.
