Register for ESSA Town Hall Meetings—Happening Soon!

From Ann Brown, Director of Arts Education —

The TN Department of Education has scheduled several town hall meetings over the next several days—with one having already occurred in Knoxville—to continue the conversation as they develop the state plan to transition to the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). The state has outlined highlights and opportunities that ESSA presents and walks through key strategies in five areas.

The documents found by clicking here will be discussed at the meetings led by Commissioner Candice McQueen and department leadership. This link also has a place to provide feedback about these strategies in an online feedback form.

See below for the schedule of ESSA Town Hall Meetings. For those of you who are available to attend, please register. We hope the arts community can be represented at each of these meetings.
