Give Your Input for the 2017 POL Anthology

From Danielle Brown, Arts Education Special Projects Coordinator —

Every summer in preparation for the next year’s Poetry Out Loud (POL) competition–an annual national poetry recitation contest–the Poetry Out Loud Foundation reviews the POL Anthology to determine what changes should be made. This is the source from which competitors choose their pieces to perform. New poets and poems are added, others are removed. POL has opened the opportunity for teachers, students and teaching artists to provide recommendations of poets and poems that would be a good fit for the competition. Not every suggestion will be included, as permissions are required for every poem, but they will be considered.
